Planet Forge

The Planet Forge is a level I produced in UE4 that was inspired by the Star Wars and Mass Effect franchises. Focusing on a modular and PBR workflow, I created an environment which represented a spaceship interior with a machine that created planets.

Software used:

  • Maya

  • Quixel Suite

  • Photoshop

  • Unreal Engine 4

Workflow & techniques:

  • 3D modelling

  • Modularity

  • PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) pipeline

  • Low poly assets

  • 4096x4096 textures or lower

As seen in the image above and below, I have used modular assets consistently throughout the level, this results in multiple uses of the same texture maps. The meshes include the floor panels, walls and door frames.
